OCTOPUS
This original painting was inspired by my love for the ocean that began when I was a small child. My dad would take me along on overnight fishing excursions upon his 24 foot Skipjack. He would dive for lobsters, albalone and octopus. My favorite part of the adventure was pounding the abolone flat with a metal tenderizer hammer, while my mom dredged it in batter and cooked it in the galley. Nothing like fresh seafood!!!
I always had a fascination with octopuses (octopi)...they truly are amazing creatures!
